At Pilates Bodyworks South Yarra, our over-50’s Pilates classes are dedicated for the older adults in our community to help them gain strength and achieve fitness.

We have more than 10 years experience working with clients over 50 towards their fitness and health goals in a safe way. We plan your program weekly and the classes are specifically designed to help you improve overall strength and flexibility. One in three people over 50 experience a fall every year. Exercises targeted to improve your core, balance, mobility and strength will positively affect your balance. We focus on controlled breathing and quality of movement, which are key elements in our teaching. The exercises are gentler on the joints as compared to other forms of exercises. We have the knowledge to modify the exercises to suit your capabilities during the class so you do not feel intimidated by any Pilates exercises. We make sure you feel comfortable and safe during the class while enjoying the benefits of Pilates.

Our classes also cater for people suffering from a range of problems including arthritis, osteoporosis, spinal issues, sciatica, diabetes, tendinopathies, hip and knee issues, etc..
